How do I upload text files to the site? PDF Print E-mail

Any kind of text file such as Microsoft  Word files or PDF files can be uploaded to the site for others to use. MS Word is the most common text software and allows teachers to modify files they download to better suit their class, but it does not always stay in the same format and Japanese fonts are not always supported.  So PDF is the easiest format to use.  If you do not have a PDF writer program, simply email the document to nihongobc and we will convert and upload it for you.

Click the "Course Resources" link on the Main Menu

Click the "SubmitFile" link on the bottom of the Course Resources page

Click the "Browse..."  button to find the file on your computer.  Double             click your file and it will appear in the Browse window.

If your resource is a web site, type the URL in the box provided below the     Browse box.

In the "Suggest Location" box, choose which course (Japanese 9 etc.) the         file should appear in.

In the "Description" text box describe what the file is all about.  You can          include instructions for its use here if they are needed or include those                 instructions in the file you are uploading.

Click the "Auto Description" box near the bottom of the page and the site         will take the first 150 words of your description to use on the Course                 Resource page.  Or you can type a short description in the smaller                     "Description" box on the bottom of the page.

Finally click on the icon on the bottom that represents the type of file you are     uploading.  Them click submit file and it is uploaded.  The file will then be         reviewed by the site adminstrator to be sure it is going to the right place.  It         will then appear on the site and be ready for use.
